On Thursday, November 6th, from 6:00–7:30 PM, the City of Burlington and Vermonters for Criminal Justice Reform (VCJR) are hosting a free educational webinar:
Overdose Prevention Centers: Evidence, Impact & Community Dialogue.
The event will feature national and local experts sharing research, data, and firsthand experience from operating OPCs across the U.S. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about Burlington’s progress toward opening Vermont’s first OPC.
As part of the City’s Overdose Prevention Center Service Assessment, the event will also launch the Community Survey, an opportunity for individuals to share their perspectives and priorities. Feedback gathered will help guide Burlington’s ongoing OPC planning and engagement efforts.
This event is the first in a series of community conversations that will continue over the coming months with key stakeholders, service providers, and public health and safety partners.
