OPCs in the Community Workshop
Dad Guild is hosting a Workshop & Town Hall on Overdose Prevention Centers (OPCs), facilitated by Vermont Harm Reduction Advocates.
There has been growing conversation in Burlington about OPCs—but what are they, how do they work, and what would one mean for our community? This session will cover what an OPC is, what services a Burlington site could offer, and the anticipated community impacts.
Bella Fearn of VT Harm Reduction Advocates will share data, explain how OPCs operate, and create space for caregivers to ask questions and voice concerns.

Community Mural Day at King Street Laundromat
King Street Laundromat invites you to take part in a special community project: the design and painting of a mural on their new Community Box — a shared space where anyone can freely access or exchange basic hygiene and food items. The box was generously donated by Leadership Champlain.
This event will bring together artists, neighbors, and community members to raise awareness about the importance of access to essential resources. The mural painting will serve two purposes:
Collecting donations of hygiene and food items to stock the Community Box.
Spreading the word so more people know about this shared resource and can both give and receive support.
Whether you’re an artist, a helper, or simply someone who wants to contribute to a caring and connected neighborhood, your participation is welcome and appreciated.
📍 Location: King Street Laundromat, 72 King Street, Burlington, VT
🗓️ When: Saturday, October 18th, 1:30–3:30 PM
